This project was developed during a glass course in my master’s in Drawing and resulted in a series of glass pieces inspired by botanical forms. After extensive study and experimentation, the process began with the collection of plants, whose structures served as the basis for the molds. Using plaster and clay, we created detailed negatives of the natural forms. Then, pieces of glass were carefully placed into these molds and fired in a specialized kiln, allowing the material to melt and take on the desired shape. The result is a collection of unique pieces that preserve the delicacy and intricate details of the plants in a new materiality.
